Question: I do a backup, Then later I have to exclude or remove a device for whatever reason. Is a RESTORE possible? I understand that rules will be broken that contained the now missing device that need to be fixed. But will RESTORE fail?
Restore should not fail (at least I've never heard of it doing that).
My understanding is that if you had apps w/automations that used a now removed device, Restore will bring back those automations using the "missing" device, and you will need to update or remove the automations as desired.
I always intend to do a backup after I add or remove devices and update apps using them, but don't always remember.
