How low does the heating setpoint go? I need a 2- wire battery powered thermostat for my detached garage but need it to go down to 40F. Most thermostats don't go that low.
And if you do go ahead with the Zooz relay, just use this device as the "wireless" controller. Should be easy-peasy.
Thanks... for $30 I think I can work with that.
If you do get it, the 2 wire for heat is red on RH terminal and white on W1
I did some Googling tonight and that how I came up with this answer after reading a couple of websites on using 2 wire heat on a full functioning thermostat but you know other function like cooling is not going to do anything etc.
I got one of the older ones...pushbutton, not touch... for less than $22. An online copy of the manual shows the minimum setpoint is adjustable. Fingers crossed...
Just received, installed batteries, paired, configured, and tested. Not connected to my heater yet, but I can hear the relays clicking and responds to all commands. The min-max setpoints for both heating and cooling are indeed adjustable, as are most other parameters like minimum run times, deadbands, etc. Aside from the overly complicated steps to program the time, everything went super smooth. Thanks, @techbill for the inspiration on this one!
