Apologies if this is obvious somewhere, but I can't find any information on setting up direct communication between the ZSE40 and a switch I want to trigger. Per the manual:
To associate the sensor with other devices, simply put your Z-Wave controller in Association mode by sen-ding the appropriate command
I can't find where to do this in Hubitat? I've never done a direct Z-Wave to Z-Wave device association, either, so is there a good source, in general, for how this works? My need is simple - I have a Zooz wall switch that I want to have turn on when motion is detected, that's all, but I'm always curious what other types of "direct" capabilities there are, or what kind of options are associated with that (e.g. in the Hubitat automation, I have it delay turn-off for 1 minute ... how is that reflected in this "direct communication"?
I have done this with a Zooz motion sensor and a GE switch in a closet. I had to get the advanced driver for the Zooz on their support web page. Did a search on the device. Hubitat frowns on associations. They have their reasons, but I think in certain cases it's a reliable, if inflexible, approach. For example, that cat has taken to going into the closet at all hours, and I've taken off the association so that I can program a rule to not light up during the middle of the night.
