Do all these new radar “presence detectors” work with pets?

I know a bunch of PIR motion sensors don’t trigger (for better or worse) when pets walk by, especially when mounted higher up.

For these radar ones that can also apparently report multiple people? Can it detect a medium dog as well? Not 100% sure how I’d prefer it to work, but can see automations about me leaving my bedroom in the morning or returning when it’s dark but not bed time yet etc - but also my dog will roam around and spend time in various places on his very own random schedule

Are you saying you don't want the sensors to go off when hour dog is around or you do?

If you do, the place them low enough to detect most basic motion sensors trigger.

If you don't then you could do it a couple of ways.

1 - add presence to each rule, so if you're home they trigger, if you're not they don't (this can be purely presence, or a "away" mode) - worked well for me. I had an away mode that turned on some lights very dim

2 - add a button near your door so "on" means you're home off means you're not"

I'm asking if these new-age "radar presence detectors" detect small animals as present or not.

Or, asked differently, just how sensitive are these? Would they detect a bunny roaming around?

You can adjust their sensativity. It depends, is correct the answer. I have an FP2 and it does detect my small dog sitting on the couch across the room. If that's what you want, it can do it in certain circumstances.
