DNS Resolution

I have a new C8 and one of my applications, [HubiThings Replica] is failing because of name resolution. I then went to the network test and all of the tests are failing because of a temporary failure in name resolution.
I tried to ping my gate way and get ping: lo: Temporary failure in name resolution, but if I pint its IP address as a host, no problem. I also can't ping 8.8.8.8, get the network is not reachable, or if by name, the Temporary failure in name resolution.

Any suggestions?

Go to Settings - Network setup - Override DNS settings - copy/paste example given, then click Override. That should do it.

Try going to Settings|Network Settings|Override DNS Settings and try entering 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4, 1.1.1.1, 1.0.0.1, 9.9.9.9 and clicking Override

Thank you, but I have tried all of those, it seems to have had trouble getting out of my network.

It turns out it did not like me statically setting the IP address. I created a reservation and now it works.

Theoretically should work either way but I find DHCP reservations more convenient for centrally managing IPs anyway.

Agree, there were some issues with my Unifi System and an old reservations that I finally found so I could move the C7 to a sequential IP next to the new C8, which took over the old C7 IP address.
