Did I make a mistake using protonmail for admin account?

I went to settings to switch my admin account to a different email I wanted to use, I confirmed the switch, it removed the original email associated with the hub like it should, leaving my new email in place as admin. I go to login and it says User Not Confirmed and if I try to reset password the reset link never comes, is this due to it being a protonmail address? specifically @pm.me, and is this even the problem as I have a login saved already with that email for the account that was previously a guest account before wanting it to be the admin. I can't login, Help?
