I have some devices that are not showing on my Alexa app. They do however show on my hubitat a app. Any suggestions?
it's been awhile since I set mine up but I'm pretty sure you have to go to the alexa app (assuming it's available to you) and select the devices you want Alexa to control. Should be able to do a discovery in Alexa to connect the devices.
I did. Nothing happens. I have Devices showing on the Alexa and some missing.
What kind of devices? For example, thermostats are not supported.
How many devices? On my system, I have over 150 devices and can only share about 70-80 of them with Alexa due to Amazon constraints on their gateway.
I donโt have that many. Devices not showing:
1 he light bulb
1 invoelli switch (I have 2)
1 Lutron outlet
Ok. In your web UI, go to Apps > Amazon Echo Skill. In another tab, open the Logs. Next, make sure all the devices you want added to Alexa are added. Then, hit Done. Once you do that, watch the logs and see if any errors from the Amazon gateway show up.
Thanks!
I didnโt know that I had to go the app every time a new device was added (rookie mistake). Iโm switching from wink and I never had to do that.
Everything is working now !!!!
Thanks !!!!
No problem! Glad you're up and running! (and welcome to Hubitat)
Think of it as by design. Wink:everything is(was) cloud based. Hubitat: You select what you want to be local and what you expose to the cloud.
