I have it set to announce when one of my kids opens their door at an odd hour (little kid, could fall down stairs, whatever, in middle of night). Have had the app in place for a year + and nothing has changed in my notification. Suddenly it stopped saying the device name and only says "opened". instead of "Hudson's door opened". Here's what it looks like:
%device% opened
Again, this has worked forever, wondering if a firmware upgrade broke it or if I possibly need to update the app?
I don't think the notifier app can be updated outside of the firmware update since it's a built-in app. Can you correlate the "stopped working" to an upgrade? If so you could always try rolling back,
My notification rules are working fine and they are similar, though I probably don't use the same TTS device. Does it work ok with other notification devices? And if you set up a simple rule with your TTS device does it work with that? That might help narrow down where the issue is. And maybe do a screen shot of the notifier rule?
@fleetmack I saw a thread a while back about delays in playing to google. Ahead of %device% put a ! and see if it works. So your notification would look like, ! %device% Hudson's door opened
