Device not logging

I installed a BTF-LIGHTING Zigbee 3.0 controller that turns on/off and adjusts the intensity of closet lighting. I have debug logging turned off (as it the case with almost all of my devices), however descriptive logging for this, and all other devices turned on.

The log shows when the door opens/closes correctly, and the lights work as defined in my app. When I check the logs, there are no entries for any function carried out by the light controller. It is configured as a generic Zigbee dimmer connected to a single colour light strip.

Any thoughts as to the absence of log entries? Other dimmers in my home do seem to log their light turning on, and the intensity.

Maybe try disabling and re-enabling the descriptionText logging option, hitting Save Preferences between each.

Some other ideas:

Are the other devices that log correctly using the same driver?

Do you see the events on "Events" for that device (accessible from the device detail page)? If not, running the "Configure" command may help, and would also explain this problem in the first place.

Apologies if I'm telling you something you already know.... But you are not looking at the Past Logs tab by any chance, instead of the Live Logs? This opens by default when selecting logs from the device details page. Sometimes it can be the simple things....

Thanks for replying.

@bertabcd1234 I did try disabling and re-enabling descriptive logging, so I'll see what happens. When I check the event tab for the device, there are numerous entries, all as expected. As of now, I don't have any more of these controllers in use, but will be adding two more in the next few days.

@sburke781 I have checked past logs, as well as logs from the device page. In addition, I watched live logs while opening and closing the door and the only entries appearing were from the Aeotec recessed sensor linked with the app.
