Device Firmware Updater for Leviton Dimmers and Switches Hangs

I have been trying unsuccessfully to update my Leviton Z-Wave dimmers and switches.

I start the update, and it just sits at:

“Device Firmware Updater: Loading firmware file DZ6HD_v1_22.ota”

With no percentage on the progress bar forever. (Hours)

I have successfully updated a couple of Jasco switches no problem. They took about 15 minutes each.

Any tips?

Thanks - I had read in another thread that the problem was the built-in app didn't support OTA files, and now it seems to. So I ignored the (As of Fall 2022) note in this post.

Using the driver worked perfectly.
