I tried updating the firmware for a zooz zen15 device. I have the hex file uploaded to the C7 hub (version 2.3.5.152), but when I tap on the update firmware button, I get an unexpected error message.
I would remove and re-add the Device Firmware Updater app, which will likely solve this problem (possibly caused by holding onto a device ID that is no longer on your system). If you see a red "Remove" button at the bottom of any of the app pages, use it; if not, use the gear icon in the top right to go to the App Status page and do the same there. Then, just re-add the app (all your firmware files will still be there) and try again.

I will add I had same problem and this fixed it for me as well.
Yeah, I don't use the built-in f/w updater anymore since I moved most of my devices to S2, but when I was using it more, I most definitely had the best luck with the technique of removing & re-adding it each time.
