Device Details Page Shows 'Missing' Device But No Remove Button (C8)

I have a C8 Hub that I tried to add a wave.me key fob to. The device seems do add ok, but would not work correctly when the Button presses were assigned to an App (press button 1 turns on lights, double press button turns lights off).

I tried to remove the device using Exclude with no joy, so had to force remove. The device is no longer listed on the Devices tab, but still shows up in the z-wave details page. As a side note, if I use a z-wave stick as a controller (to remove ghosts) the device does not show in the Silicon Labs Z-Wave Controller app.

I have followed other suggestions related to ghost devices by pressing Refresh until the system realises it is missing/failed and provides the Remove button, but I have been trying this for close to an hour and all I see is Refresh or Discover.

I am at a loss as to what to do next.

I cannot use the Silicon Labs /z-wave stick approach as the device does not show in the list.

Any ideas please?

sorry - was replying while reading and caught that you're probably already familiar with the steps here? How To Remove Ghosts using hub tools or a UZB Stick - :bellhop_bell: Get Help - Hubitat

Yeah. However, I rebooted the C8 hub, excluded my USB z-wave stick and then re-included it. This time the ghost key fob device showed up in the Silicon Labs app, so I could remove it from there.

All fixed. Thanks for the reply, I am sure others can benefit from the link to the ghost removal instructions, as well as knowing a reboot, exclude and include can help fix the missing devices.

Another common troubleshooting step is doing the shut-down dance (shut down/pull power/wait 30s/restore power) which is the only way to clear the hub's radios, and can help when having issues including or excluding devices w/the hub's tools, or via UZB. Glad you got it sorted!
