Anyone familiar with the brand Develco and if they are supported with Hubitat?
@aleks Welcome to the community. Their name doesn't appear in the supported devices list but if the devices conform to Zigbee or Zwave standards there is a very good chance that they will work as intended.
Never heard of them before, but all the devices I checked out on their website appear to be using Zigbee Home Automation, which Hubitat supports, so they should at least pair as a "Device." (I see a press release from 2016 where they brag about ZHA 1.2 support but mention limitations of ZHA 1.1, which suggests some of their older products may have used that. Not sure if those would work.)
Whether they will function is another story, though despite being a bit less standard than Z-Wave, it's often the case that the generic Zigbee drivers in Hubitat will work with most devices of that type, as the above poster mentioned. If not, it's likely staff could add support if they're feeling extra nice and they happen to get their hands on one (@mike.maxwell could probably modify the drivers in his sleep), assuming the devices don't do something unusual that Hubitat does not currently support. If they do work and you can grab the fingerprint data while pairing, they could easily add that to the driver (to make it automatically selected for these devices).
That being said, they appear to be a Denmark-based "white label" company, so it's not clear to me that they intend to sell directly to end users (or how readily available the products would be in the US where Hubitat staff is based). I do suppose the same devices could show up as other brands, however...
Thanks for a quick reply, they paired and seems to be working. I will send the fingerprint data
Where did you find these products ?
You can order them from Develco, but they usually only operate in b2b. Different retailers like https://www.elektroimportoren.no/elektromateriell/smarthus/develco/001045969/Catalog.html, https://www.tekam.no/?s=develco and Produkter – Onesti Support etc
Hi Aleks. Is this really working? In my case Hubitat finds it as "Device", but nothing more. I can't get any parameter of the smoke detector (battery status, temperature).
