Detected device incorrectly - child devices remain after change

I added an Eva Logic Dimmer Switch ZW31 but Hubitat detected it as a Zooz Double Outlet which means it is a parent device with 2 child devices.

After I change the device manually to Generic Z-Wave Smart Dimmer Switch (which works fine), the child devices are still there in the device list.

How can I get rid of these ghost child devices?

There is a community app named "Clean Device" by Boris the Cat.
You can install it from this link: Clean Device

You change you problem device to the Clean Device Driver, Save and the driver will present 3 buttons to clean up the child devices as well as schedules and states.

Once done return to the driver you have been using. Be sure to press configure if there is one.

Perfect!! Worked like a charm! Thank you!

Seems like clean up after device type switching might be a good candidate for a product enhancement - to avoid this fiddly procedure.

But grateful there is a fix!

You can also select Device which is a native driver and it has the option to delete child devices.
