Desktop enclosure for light switch

Surprised there are not already switch boxes published on thingiverse.

A wood one would be nice... Maybe use wood filament if you are not handy to make one with the real thing?

I saw a mahogany light bulb "block" at Michaels a couple years ago. $50+ retail... $5 clearance... They only had one unfortunately but it has been the only way to have a status RGBW bulb placed in our bedroom that my wife was willing to accept

Whew! Wondered where that was going.

hahaha, I'll toss it in the bathtub if the wife don't answer my calls.

@k5map take a look and see if this would work.

I want one! For a reasonable price

@jeubanks ... You da'man... that is exactly the same as my INSTEON.

@Hasty1 ... I looked around but was unable to find a price. Where did you see the cost?

Sorry was saying I want one...for a reasonable price. There is an ADI in town but they won’t sell to me(not a registered alarm company)

@Hasty1 ... took me a bit but found one here but not sure about how "reasonable" the price is

Was just about to post this

I like your price better than the one I found

I didn't get a price but I can check with my distributors....checked.

The two links above with the $22 and change price is as good as you're going to find. There's very limited stock/supply floating around so.

Part of me is just thinking about getting this and making it a whole house controller

That's in interesting idea... Adafruit is one of my fav sites for all things Arduino and that device has some interesting possibilities.

I was going to write an AHK script to give me some notifications and controls at the pc but I do miss my x10 Maxi controller

This would be my personal choice. No wires. 10 year battery life. We have these on every nightstand to be able to control lighting without disturbing anyone by using voice control.

I have these around the house on various desks.
