I have been trying for a week without success to add or rejoin my ever reliable ST v1 motion sensors. I still have many working but once I change the battery they are done. I can't seem to find any commonality that will lead me to a successful method.
No matter what method, distance, radio level, reboot etc. I always get device found and initilizing but that's it.
The question here is why, after deleting and reinitializing the device, do I always get the same state info if I create a virtual motion sensor and populate it with the Zigbee id?
If I run a discovery at this point I get previous device found and it populates the correct Device Network id.
In the past this method used to work as a hack but it seems not anymore.
