I tested out the hubitat elevation but it is far to slow and I really don't like the way it works. I am going to return it to amazon but I would like to know how to delete all my data from the website and the device.
I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. If it isn't too late to change your mind, seeing that this is the first time you've posted to the Hubitat Community, I would encourage you to describe to the community the issues you've encountered; I would not be surprised if community members provide satisfactory solutions.
That being said, if you must leave, go to "http://your_hubitat_IP:8081". Choose the option "Full Reset", and follow the instructions provided.
Far too slow doing what? It's much faster than most hubs that rely on the cloud to get things done.
I am not going to get into a debate on what is fast or slow. The device is much slower than I expected. I understand there is a balance between power and usability, for me this device is a turtle. It may get there eventually but its not for me.
How do I delete my account from the hubitat website as well?onse takes a while.
I am interested John if you have found a faster hub and what you're changing to ?
"Turtle" and "slow" are very unusual ways to describe Hubitat. That is why we are questioning you.
Respectfully, if you cannot even name one thing that didn't work well, you sound like you are making thing up. And to have this be your first post is also suspicious. Why did you not ask for help here before now?
Hubitat isn't perfect by any means, but it is better than almost every hub of this type.
You can contact support@hubitat.com
The Full Reset will also remove your Registration of that hub. But the record of your "passing by" remains. I'll summarize the above... perform a Full Reset. Then pack the hub up and ship it off. In parallel, send a message to support asking them to delete your record.
Without debating your position, you could provide some data that permits us to understand your definitions of "slow" and "turtle".
For example, I have a relatively complex setup - zigbee sensors on one Hubitat, z-wave switches on another, and automations are run using Node-RED on a separate SBC. So there's a fair amount of network traffic necessary for each automation.
Despite this my motion lighting automations take between 130-200 milliseconds to execute. Automations based on contact sensor state (i.e. open/close) take about 100-150 milliseconds to execute.
I consider that fast. So I would love to know your definition of "slow" and "turtle" in some quantifiable measure.
Thanks!
Can you please tell me what you use that is faster. I would love to check it out.
I say that if you can't give more than 8 hours to the community and a learning curve, then good luck to you. Sounds like a bit of a troll post. It's unfortunate that you feel that way.
Guys, he's missing out, but stop begging him to stay or explain. He's obviously overwhelmed by the sheer power of the hub and doesn't want to ask for help.
We are sorry that things did not work out as expected with your Hubitat Elevation. If you'd like to remove the personal data from your hub and return it to factory settings, please follow instructions in below document:
