Delay in Dashboard

I am seeing some weird behavior, I have three dashboards.

  1. Kitchen
  2. Living Room
  3. Home theater.

They all seem to be either not refreshing device status, or they are delayed significantly as of late.
For example, if I tell Alexa to turn off my downstairs lights, watch my dashboard, nothing changes at all.

At some times I can even go in and hit the green checkmark to refresh and it still shows the devices as ON.

Any ideas?

The first thing I'd do is rule out a Dashboard problem. Look at the actual devices in question: in the admin web interface, go to "Devices," then click/tap into the page for your specific device(s). See how long things take to change there, and note how it compares to Dashboard. Dashboard should just be reading these same states, so if they take a while to change, you've ruled out a Dashboard issue and narrowed it down to the device. If that's the case, you might have a device or driver issue.

If that's not the case, you could have a Dashboard problem; the cloud option will always take a bit of time to refresh, I think, but the LAN option should keep a websocket connection open to the hub with instant updates. If that fails, it will also fall back to periodic refreshes. Either way, narrowing down the issue would be a good first step.

I agree with Robert, this sounds like you have a device problem. I haven't seen others complain about this, or at least not enough complaints to see that it is some consistent issue or firmware bug.

I think i found it, i have Homeseer devices, when i set them to use the Homeseer driver, it seems to delay the status, if I use the Generic Z Wave Dimmer, they come back as expected.
Switched to that and all is good, thanks!
