I would like to congratulate the team on the new features, I know these features were not easy to code but well worth the time. As you know this world is into immediate gratification and 'now' mentality I am thankful for these and it's a great step forward. So that said, the new dashboard is awesome start and look to the future of all the enhancements to make this the diamond of the product.
As a product guy I would recommend that advanced features should be a OPEX model and add a revenue stream for them. I know most would think this is crazy talk from a customer, but this is modern day reality. Revenue guarantees jobs and product success. I have a lot invested into Hubitat myself, As these features come I'm going to invest more time into them. People will pay for great features.
I'm not telling you folks how to run your org, but I'm suggesting the market is different from 10 years ago. Companies go under if they don't protect themselves and be a market leader. I love this product as I came from SmartThings, but ST was its own death because they did not understand the consumer and requirements. Same for many other IoT products.
What is Hubitat? Residential? Niche? or even Enterprise. What are the strategic goals to be the leader in another 10 years?
I know being the best at something like the Rules Logic Engine and a one stop shot automation engine are key to the industry. Topping it off with more features in the modern age like Machine Learning, Cloud or On-Prem Analytics packages, Hybrid Configurations, Security Enhancements, SNMP (yes old but still worthy), Notification Engine, and even AI with a premium web interface.
Also this can be marketed as a VM OVA for virtualization (minus the Zwave and Zigbee stuff). BTW... HPE Aruba has Zigbee and Bluetooth in their Wi-Fi APs to interface....
I'll shut up now.
Congrats!
