Dashboard Tile Status Not Updating - Solved

Hey all! Hopefully an easy question due to an oversight.

Currently, the tiles in my dashboard update perfectly if I use them from the dashboard, or from the device's app. However, if I use the device itself, the dashboard tile for that device doesn't update it's status.

For ex. if I turn a light on from the dashboard tile, the tile will show it's on. If I do the same thing from the manufacturer's app, again the dashboard tile shows the correct status. However, if turn the light on from the switch, the dashboard tile doesn't update.

I thought I could solve this by creating two rules, one that does a refresh and one that does a poll to try and update the status. The dashboards cloud and LAN refresh is also set to 1 second. (This was done to show "live" video streams I had.

Right now, the only ways to update the status is to tap on the green check mark to reload the dashboard, which is obviously not ideal. Or, wait about 3 minutes for the tile to update, which isn't terrible but not accurate enough for me.

Not sure what else I can try, so I'm hoping someone in this awesome community can help.

Any suggestions are welcome!!

What devices are these? This statement makes me think these are wifi devices. If they are, depending on the integration, they may just not be updating in HE until they're polled.

I have three devices I'm currently trying to setup.

  1. Sclage ZWave Door lock - older model (Challange in itself)
  2. Weemo Light switch (The WiFi device)
  3. MyQ Garage door with a SmartThings sensor (Wi-Fi/ZWave combo)

The Wi-Fi reasoning makes complete sense. My Zwave extender arrives in the mail, hopefully tonight. So I'll get some better data when I get that installed.
