I use several virtual switches to indicate if the dishwasher or laundry is running - it would be nice to have a display only status tile for these switches.
More than once I have bumped the switch toggling the state (and that triggered announcements that the dishwasher or laundry were complete).
Yes. I have been using blank Text Tiles on top of switch tiles to make them un-clickable.
You could use the attribute tile to just display on or off.
Worth taking a look at Andy's (@Cobra) Supertile app. I use it for exactly what you are, displaying status of various devices including dishwasher and washer dryer, but without the possibility of accidently switching them.
