I am trying Fully Kiosk for first time. Unfortunately, when it goes to any of my dashboards, the screen just goes blank. I can manage thru the rest of HE's webaccess to manage HE but as soon as I go to any dashboard, nothing!!!
It's an older Samsung Tab tablet if that matters.
And something else, can the Hubitat app be installed on a tablet? Both of my tablets are pretty old. When I search for Hubitat app in the Play Store, the HE app doesn't show up as an option on either. I wasn't sure if that's because my tablets don't have a new enough OS or that the app is phone-specific.
It sounds like a WebView issue. I had this also on an old tablet running v7 Android and it wouldn't allow the WebView to update to a new enough version to run the HE mobile app or run the dashboards in the Chrome browser.
Sounds like an Android version issue then. I won't embarrass myself by revealing what version of Android OS is running on my 2 old tablets. Time to ROOT!!!!
I have the same problem with an old Acer Iconia tablet, browsing the HE admin screens is fine but as soon as I open a dashboard it just loads as a black screen. The HE app isn't available for my tablet either.
Oddly enough the dashboards load fine on the built-in browser and Chrome, but not in several full-screen browsers I have tried. Chrome isn't an option for this as it doesn't stay in full-screen mode when you switch between dashboards, or accidentally swipe down.
If anyone finds a solution to this, e.g. any settings in Fully Kiosk that make this work, please post so we can fix this!
I am also having this black screen issue with an older Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 on Android 4.4. I tested other full screen apps and the result is the same. The screen goes completely black. So it's not limited to the Fully Kiosk app.
