Cree bulb flash

I don’t have many smart bulbs, but I do have a few where I want good dimming.

That said, I have a Cree bulb that randomly flashes. Less than half a second. I’ve found people on reddit complaining about this as it may be due to a bad firmware Cree pushed a while back. Apparently at one point Cree was replacing effected bulbs.

Anyone else had this? There’s also a chance another driver may fix...

The bulb in question is in my 5yo son’s room. So the flashes could be distracting.

Cree bulb firmware update

I know no one likes cree. I have one bulb. For about two years, I haven't had issue with it. I've connected to a Samsung connect, Smartthings hub and Wink in the past. Recently I've moved it to hubitat and no issues until recently. The bulb is randomly flashing. Now searching I found that the issue is a bad firmware update. My question is does Hubitat do cree firmware updates and if so how can I turn it off? I can get a new bulb from Cree but I have to prevent firmware updates in the fut…

I think calling Cree they replace the bulb.
