I've finally got to adding RGB bulbs to the garden and along my fence and now the fun begins. Here are my ideas, I'm open to yours too:

As the sliding gate opens to allow the car through onto the driveway, have the lights cycling from 3 lights away, individually, getting closer to the gate so that it appears to be beckoning the car in (or out)

Light up certain indoor house lights in a colour to show a garage door has been left open

Cycle the colours between green and red at Xmas

Cycle the lights between red and blue when the house alarm is going off

Show a certain shade that indicates the alarm is activated and perhaps one to show the alarm has been triggered but is now off

When the lights turn on, do them in sequence from outer to inner
