I am new to Hubitat after using Vera products for years. I really like what I see so far from Hubitat.
I currently have two devices that has limited control from the Dashboard and full control from the device settings page. For example, i can reverse my ceiling fan from the device settings, but not from the Dashboard. Another example is I can control all switches independently from the device settings for my Aeotec Smart Strip, but not from the Dashboard. All four outlets are switched on or off as a group when I use Dashboard.
I emailed support and received the following reply:
"Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us. Unfortunately, the dashboard cannot handle the additional switches as this time, however, a popular solution is creating virtual switches and using Rule Machine to link them to the main driver.
For more details I suggest reaching out in our community to learn from other members how they were able to add the additional switches on their dashboards."
I have basic experience with Rule Machine and have managed to create a couple of basic rules. If anyone could explain how i can accomplish this, I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
@lou I got mine to work after a very frustrating few days. I will get some screen shots for you. To start when you are in RM you need to set it up with the custom action of the Aeotec power strip. I myself am very new to Hubitat from Vera as you are so I have to take a few and put together screen shot and explain how I did this.

As I thought (could be wrong??) the guy that maintained/updated Dashboards no longer works for Hubitat, I don't know what the short term/medium term roadmap for Dashboards is...
I for one would love to see more functionality, though.
