I've created a virtual switch as a means to pause and enable a rule. I've verified it's operation and it works just fine when I turn the switch on and off with the Hubitat app. I'm now trying to add this switch to my list of devices that Google Home can control but can't seem to get Google to see it. When opening Hubitat's Google Home integration app, my virtual switch doesn't show up on that list. Is there anything I need to do to make this work?
Welcome @jjuradojr1.
I have been able to make use of virtual switches to link between Hubitat and GH, in particular to change modes.
What if you created a separate virtual switch as a test and see if you can add that to the Google Home integration app in HE?
I've found if you create a virtual switch and then sync it straight to Google Home it often fails.
However, if you toggle it off and on a couple of times to make sure it's state is populated properly they will then generally sync to GH just fine.
Thanks for the response. I activated and deactivated the virtual switch several times and it works great. When attempting to sync it over to be controlled by Google (Hey G, synchronize devices), this new switch fails to show. My only way around it was to disconnect Hubitat from Google, then reconnect. The good part is now i have verbal control of the virtual switch. The bad part is now i have to reconfigure all of my Hubitat devices on Google Home.
