Hi Folks, I have a Zooz Multirelay to control my garage doors.
Everything works fine through dashboard.
I can get alexa to recognize the device, but for some reason i dont know the command to "open" the garage door.
For example, I have zooz switched where I can say "turn on deck floods" no problem.
for the device it tells me to go to my alexa app and change garage door settings...
Can I just get it to activate the relay?
I see two ways to do this. I just tested them and they work. My Zooz relay has three switches. I just say "Alexa, turn on "Name Of Switch." Also, I have an Alexa routine that turns on the same switch with "Alexa open garage door one." They both open the garage door associated with that switch.

For garage doors, locks and other recognized security devices Alexa requires that you go into the Alexa app and enter a PIN code to be used for validation. Once you do that any time you ask to open the door it will ask you for the PIN (you can use a custom Alexa routine to get around this with a little extra work.).
(Not sure how Alexa has determined that your relay is a garage door though.)

I do not have to do that for either method that I use.
Then Alexa is only seeing your relay as a switch and not as a security device….
I believe that is correct.
Got it. Had to get into the alexa settings on my PC, it wasnt availble through the app.
I set the pin, used it once on voice command, and now it works.
