I can see the long/ latitude in the logs. Maybe I should let her leave for work tomorrow and see if it updated tomorrow when she arrives. Maybe when I left it didn’t give it time
Update. Am I looking at the logs wrong ?
I see long/lat and headings. Car does not register as present. Last two days. She left for the day. Returned. Not updates for presence.
That is not the longitude and latitude coming from the streaming api. That is the std api.
You can use that but it wont update very often... you would have to turn on the option to use the legacy api for alt presence. For some reason you are not getting the longitude and latitude from the streaming websocket/fleet api. This usually is a configuration issue with either tesla not providing it (telemetry) or a configuration issue with tessie. That is why i said you should contact tessie support and see if they can tell you why the websocket/Fleet api is not sending longitude and latitude when the car is moving.
When you contact tessie this post you posted shows you getting data via the websocket/fleet api. if you turn debugging back on every message you get should show the "in handler item" line. those are named pairs coming from the fleet api via tessie. but you are not getting very much data or the longitude and latitude pairs which the car is moving or you did not post that info. when the car is moving you should get constant speed heading etc as well as long and lat pairs every 10-15 secs. I cannot show you what it looks like, as i am away from my cars till oct. maybe someone else can turn debugging on and post the log showing what it is SUPPOSED to look like.
no that are results from the legacy api not the websocket api.. as i said with debugging on and the web socket api you see different logs.
NO You dont even have the fleet/websocket api enabled.. in the settings and in addition it basically only sends much data when the car is moving. you are just confusing matters.
ok, I'll step out of this conversation since my Driver is working perfectly. I was just trying to share my logs to try and help JdThomas24
ok I had a thought with websocket API on. turn on debugging in the car device as so
now go in the Tesla app and start charging. you should see stuf like the following in the logs for the car device
ya you are not getting the telemetry data you can provide that to tessie to show the api is working.. and ask them why you are not getting telemetry data..
I have reached out to them again.
I will advise when I get a response.
have you check the same device log with debugging on when the car is out driving around.. there should be something coming in even if telemetry.. i dont believe you have ever posted those.
I will need to turn the logs back on when she leaves from work. I have some from this AM and see data.
Should I just remove the integration and start from scratch ? Maybe there was an issue while I was adding it?
I did get some data back from Tessie.
first turn on debugging on the car device and check device logs when the car is moving there may be some other issue.
debugging turns off automatically so you will have to make sure it is on at the time .
i wish you had posted this before when asked.. wild ffing goose chase.. not getting set to home as your home longitude and latitude are reversed if you look back at your settings!!! sigh
you'll have a long drive to get home lol!!!
OMG!!!!!
Holly crap. I never noticed how far away the car was saying it was !
So very sorry
I have made the correction and she will be leaving shortly and we I will test.
