C8 hub, generic contact sensor.
I have many of these contact sensors and they work fine except on this door. I have replaced the sensor and magnet and placed in different locations on the door, on the top edge of door and side of door. the problem is I get a close event and then an open event within a second. It seems to be the location. Has anyone had a spot that multiple devices work strangely?
Have you tested the device away from that area? It could also be an incompatibility between the device and the driver you have selected, if it is interpreting the messages incorrectly.
I have many of these contact sensor that work just fine. it works on my desk just fine. I've replaced in the same spot no workie. I finally move to the side near the floor and it works. must be the HVAC hardware right above that door.
What kind of door is it?
hallow core interior door. white with 6 raised panels. maybe its because it's a 9ft door instead of an 8 ft door? :>.
