Consider Adding A Column For The Device Hexadecimal Node ID In Device List

Hello everyone,

Occasionally I have come across a situation where a device in the Z-Wave Details routing table will not show the device name. Without a device name, I don't know of another way to correlate the problematic device with the actual device in the device list. In the past I have had to open each device to find the hexadecimal node name.

Would it be possible to have the device hexadecimal node number be listed as a column in the device list See attachment named photograph - 01. it is currently being done in the Z-Wave table? See attachment named photograph - 02?

I recognize the device for many reasons may no longer exist; although, no system changes have been made. Possibilities could include hardware failure, software / driver failure, or even possibly just a dead battery. What I prefer not to do is to simply rip it out. My primary concerns are that I don't know what device I am removing and how it may impact routing.

If there is an alternative way to troubleshoot this issue with require a code change that would be great. Still learning quite a bit about Hubitat.

Thanks for your time and help,
Don

This is already/still an option. What you're looking for is the "eye" icon at the top to show the DNI column. For Z-Wave devices, this will be the hex node ID.

But there's no reason to go to the Devices page; it's already right on the Z-Wave Details page, too, the ID starring with 0x and that is not inside parentheses (that one being the decimal ID). Maybe that's easier?

Thank you so much for your help.

That is exactly what I needed. I didn’t even know that was there, totally overlooked it.

Also, thank you for such a quick response! I very much appreciate your help.
