Confused about how Rule Machine/Scenes would work to set up Android Widget

Overall, I am trying to create an Android Widget using various instructions that point to using the cloud end point method. I am comfortable with Tasker and setting this up in Android. My question though is using Rule Machine combined with my app "Groups and Scenes." I already have a scene that turns down all my downstairs lights when I push the tile button. But I need to get the scene's cloud end point essentially. "Groups and Scenes" app can't do this, obviously, so I need to use Rule Machine. But this is where my confusion lies: how do these operate together? What is the trigger to activate this scene? I have thought about just recreating the action of turning all my downstairs lights using Rule Machine only, and not trying to have Rule Machine talk to Groups and Scenes. But now I am just confusing myself.

Any thoughts on how to straighten me out? Should I just use Rule Machine, not Groups and Scenes, to turn on and off all my downstairs lights manually when I want? I don't need anything complex (i.e., when there is movement at some time, the lights turn on). I would like to do this manually, and ideally, setting this up through a widget on my Pixel phone.

Thanks!

Use the scene device and the maker api. You won't be able to access the groups and scenes directly from the aMaker API but you can access the group or scene device that is created when you make a scene or group. Add the Maker API app and add the device to it. All the instructions on what URL to use are right in the app.

Thanks Ryan780! That worked! Much appreciated and thanks for the patience on this.
