Hey folks, was wondering if anyone would be interested in a community slack channel. Any takers?
I know HASS has a Discord Channel, and I’ve always had mixed feelings about that. One of the biggest benefits of the community here (and not having a separate channel, apart from FB/Reddit) is that questions are easily organized and searchable. I’m also having a hard time imagining supporting drivers and apps on yet another platform.
Personally—I’m not sure I’d use it much, but I’d be open to the idea of one. I’d suppose it would be a good fast-response solution for developers to brainstorm, but again, I’ve never had an issue of group messages here to do the same thing.

I would not use it at all. But then again, I'm no developer.

Same here.. There becomes a point where there can be too many methods of communication that information; suggestions, ideas, fixes, etc. become so dispersed that nobody can find things. Eventually information becomes posted in multiple places and not always in sync or kept up to date.
IMO. Here and the FB group are fine. I do not use Slack.

Discord !! HE would benefit having a discord channel. That would make it easy for folks that want to come and chat
