Cloud Backup confusion

@bobbyD, saw this announcement about introductory pricing and looking for some clarification.

I have a Hub Protect subscription scheduled to renew on June 6, 2025. I am thinking I would prefer to have the 10 backups in the cloud and give up the extended warranty protection.

  1. Is my understanding correct, that if I stay on Hub Protect, I am locked at $29.99 per year for life, but if I switch to Cloud Backup at $19.99 and then after 5/11 decided I want to go back to Hub Protect would I have to pay $45? Or as long as I am subscribing to something would I still get $29.99?

  2. If I switch to $19.99 is that price locked for life as a previous subscriber or just for 3 years and then switches to $25?

  3. Is there something else beyond the Extended Warranty that I am giving up moving from Hub Protect to Cloud Backup that I missed?

Thanks.
