Clicking on Hub Variable won't show Apps that use it

According to the New App Features Post 2.2.8 by @bravenel, clicking on a Hub Variable name should do the following:

"If a Hub Variable is in use by an app, the name of the Hub Variable is shown in orange, and clicking that shows the apps it is in use by. "

Today, I was interested in figuring out all the places I have used a Hub Variable and when I clicked on the orange name, it did not do anything.

I am assuming this is a possible bug?

Not necessarily. Do you have any apps using the variable? If not, it won't be clickable, and nothing will pop up.

If you do, what app is it? It's possible there's a problem with the app "registering" its use.

Yes, I am using the variable between two rules, that is why I was surprised that it didn't show anything. Don't believe there is any issue with the variable, it is a simple boolean. I am using it in between two rules so that one can determine if the other rule is running.

Open the rules and hit Update. If that doesn't fix it, show one of the rules here.

As you suggested, I tried updating both rules and I am still getting the same result.

That is: When I click on the Hub Variable name, the loading indicator in the header runs briefly and the screen looks like it refreshes but doesn't change (still displays the one table row with my Hub Variable).

I attached a screenshot of one of the rules that has the Hub Variable "frontPorchLightAutomationRunning."

Just an FYI... I am using this variable to disable the button controls rule when I have a holiday light rule/animation is running.

Show a screenshot of Hub Variables in Settings.

Sure...

So the yellow text is a link. What happens when you click on it? Also, what happens when you just hover your mouse over it?

The fact that it's yellow means there are apps using that variable.

Here's what I get with mouse hover:

Then, if I click on the yellow text, I get this:

Yeah the hover is working but when I clicked on the Hub Variable, it wasn't displaying which rules are using it.

BUT... I just noticed that I wasn't on the most current Hub update. When you were releasing a bunch of updates recently, I missed the last few minor ones. I decided to see if that might correct it. After I updated the Hub, it now works! Yay!
