Clarify "discrete On" option added in 2.2.3.113, please

This was included in 2.2.3.113 release:

  • Scene 1.2: Added ‘discrete on’ option to restore prior functionality as default.

@bravenel, can you provide some additional detail on this addition?

Since 2.3.0, Scenes would include an explicit on command for devices turned on by setLevel, setColorTemperature, etc. This was due to problems some users had with devices that would not turn on from those commands. That turned out to be a problem for other users where an on command would cause the lights to go to 100%, ignoring the immediately preceding setLevel. So, in effect, we reverted Scene to the way it was in 2.2.9. Those users who need the explicit on command now have to turn on that option to get one.

Excellent, thanks for that.

While many of us home theater enthusiasts will know the term "Discrete On" to mean "Send an ON command to...", I believe that general users would be better served if the option were labeled (if not this, something closer to):

Include explicit ON command for all devices
