Hi all, I've noticed that the ChromeCast integration has been absolutely useless lately - Has anyone else been experiencing the same out there?
I literally reboot the hub to get it working then it will stop working again in a day - I've tried sending the Set Volume command before the notification, installed the ChromeCast Helper app etc.
Nothing has changed within my network and my TTS announcements used to work properly in the past. I can ChromeCast Spotify from my phone to any of my devices here without issues but HE seems to fail to do so.
I tried using the Echo Speaks community app but it seems too complicated so I couldn't even get it set up properly.
I use IP address reservations in my router so my assistants never move and don't require me to find them again. At least I think that's the reason I never have to re-run Discovery. I do use Chromecast helper. I didn't have any luck with the built in "keep alive" function.
The only thing I run into is that Chromecast helper doesn't always start back up after a reboot. I need to add something to my startup rule to make sure it does start.
I've had a similar thing happen. I removed all my google speakers from hubitat, then the google home app and readded them to google home and hubitat. It seems more stable now. Not 100% yet, but mostly reliable.
