Choose Notification, TTS, and Music Player Devices from Variable

I would be helpful to have a way to choose a notification, TTS, and/or music player device based on the value of a variable.

Just curious .. how would you envision the variable would indicate the notification method? Would you have set up a table of 1=this, 2=that, etc., or would the variable literally be the name of the notification device?
