They are yes, but when you contact them asking how to tell which ones to buy they said there is no difference in packaging the only way you can tell is the ZigBee 3.0 have a QR code on the lamp. I had another GU10 fair at my in-laws and I managed to find a seller that said they were gen 2. The packaging was different and it was a ZigBee 3.0 one but they seem few and far between and mostly the old ones are still being sold.
They also said that no-one supports firmware updates on them yet, not even their own hub. Firstly why did he say that when I didn't ask and why not? So I'm assuming they have a firmware issue on the new ones
