Changing light setting breaks rule?

Ive noticed (maybe I did something wrong) that when I change the settings (color etc) of a light that is tied to a rule that the rule no longer works for that light at that time.
For instance.
I have a rule that turns on all the outdoor poot spotlights and path lights.
Last night we were outside and I changed the color of the path lights to red. After that, the lights did not turn off on their normal schedule at 1am.
It seems like it happens often, where if I make any modification to the light(s) that it no longer works on its normal rule.
Thoughts on why?

PS after the latest update my Hubitat hub is SLOWWWWWW (trying reboot)

Please share a screenshot of this particular automation. Some Hubitat Apps have features to temporarily disable the automation if a user manually adjusts the device. Could this be what is happening?

So I think the issue with this particular one was that the hubitat was insanely slow. Not sure why, but it looks like a reboot took care of it.
It would take upwards of 10-15 seconds after a command was issued to work... if at all... so there is that.
