Was getting ready to help a friend change out a sensor. It is a Visonic MCT-340. Looked at the documentation here to make sure I knew the proceedure. There is a step, #3, that is not very clear. If I may make a suggestion to change the wording a little to make it a bit clearer. Not sure if I'm to press for 1 to 2 seconds or continue to press and release for 1-2 seconds. Here is the current wording.
What would you suggest?
What does that statement actually mean?
It wasn’t a problem for me as we just powered it up thr first time. But I thought it might be confusing after that. So just thought it might need clarification.
I think I can see what OP is getting at. As written, it could potentially mean:
Press (and hold) the tamper switch for 1-2 seconds, then release.
OR
Press and release the tamper switch (repeatedly) for 1-2 seconds.
If I had to guess, it’s the first option. But hard to say for certain.
