Change IP adress Of hubitat hub

Dear everyone
I really need some help, I have a hubitat hub and a Phillips hue hub that are taking the same IP address. How can I change this either on the hubitat hub or Phillips hue hub. I have read that this is possible. But I’m not a network genius, so I don’t understand much of it. Could somebody explain? Also will it help if I change the hubitat hub from Ethernet to WiFi(wireless)
Thanks in advance

When you setup your hub did you assign a static IP address in the settings? Might be worth resetting the network settings. On the bottom of your hub you will see one of the holes is round, while others are square. Insert a paperclip and press that button for at least 7 seconds and then release. The hub will then reboot and should get assigned another IP from your router.
See this doc article for additional details and a picture if that reset button.

The best way to handle situations like this is to use DHCP reservations in your router. Assign a specific ip to each device. Then on the hubitat press the network reset button on the bottom of hub for 7 seconds wih a toothpick or paperclip. (It will be the only round button out of all the square ones). You should be good to go.

This step may not be required. However, rebooting both the router and the Hubitat hub after assigning the new IP address (or reserving one in the DHCP server) is required.

Changing from Ethernet to Wi-Fi will force your router to assign a new IP address to the new Hubitat connection, however, an Ethernet connection is always preferred over Wi-Fi, for best experience. To change the IP of your hub, go to your router and first remove the static IP or the reserved IP address, then let your DHCP server assign a new IP address to the Hubitat hub (it will assign one that is different than your Hue bridge IP address). Once you have the new IP, you can either reserve it for Hubitat, or swap the IP addresses between Hub Bridge and Hubitat, if you'd like to keep the same IP address for your Hubitat hub.

Hello again.
I just tried resetting the network settings. By pressing on the round button for 7 seconds. After doing that the hub goes into blue light. And after a few minutes we are back were we where before. The hub blinks green and red, which I read means no internet connection. Any other way?

I tried resetting the hub completely and it has indeed changed IP. But it is very similar to the hue hubs IP. Will it work?
Hubitat hub IP: 192.168.1.232
Hue hub IP: 192.168.1.231

Yes. they just need to be unique from each other.

If you update to the latest platform the blinking light should stop.

And as long as the last octets are different you'll be fine with that setup.

As others have pointed out, these are distinct IP addresses, because the last numbers (aka octets) are different. Which is exactly what you want.

In fact, you need them to be “very similar to” each other. If those first three numbers (192.168.1) were not the same, then they wouldn’t be able to talk to each other on your local network.
