I can’t for the life of me figure out how to change the size of the icons on my desktop. I looked at the easy desktop and it has real small icons. I’ve tried changing my icons size, but it doesn’t do anything. Any idea what I might be doing wrong? Is there a trick to this that I’m overlooking?
Do you mean dashboard (instead of desktop)?
If so, are you using (newer) Easy Dashboard or (old-school) legacy Dashboard?
Yes, I mean dashboard. I don’t know where I got desktop. The one I am trying to resize the icon on is the legacy or old dashboard.
Go to the dashboard you want to change and click on the setting cog. It will open the settings page so you can adjust icon size, font size, columns, etc.
Changing the icon size for individual dashboard tiles is covered in the excellent, outgoing The Noob’s (in)complete guide to CSS for Hubitat topic. Search for "material-icons" there.
That is what I’ve been trying to do. I change the icon size from 2 to 16 and it has no effect on anything. The font works, but it doesn’t change the size of the icon.
I am using an iPad. I hope that doesn’t make any difference. five columns and nine rows. All the colors are working fine it’s just that I can’t seem to make the icons any smaller. I looked at the easy dashboard and the icons are quite small. That’s the size I was trying to make mine.
Have you added any custom CSS that might be overriding the built in size control? With the dashboard open while making the adjustment, you should see the icons size adjusting in real time (at least that's how mine works using chrome). Try a different browser or add custom CSS as noted above.
I am using chrome and I have nothing Custom. I guess I’ll try it on my PC and see if it works there.
