Centralite 4257050-ZHAC “off” leaves lamp dimly lit

I apologize if this is covered somewhere else. I wasn’t able to find help elsewhere.

I have a lamp plugged into a Centralite 4257050-ZHAC controller with a 9w LED bulb. It’s configured as “Centralite Zigbee Dimmer (Spectrum)”. When I tell it to turn off, it leaves the lamp dimly lit. When I had a 5.7w bulb in the lamp, it turned it all the way off.

Does anyone have a suggestion on what I can do differently?

I have tried turning the lamp off through the hub and by pressing the button on the controller with the same results.

I tried changing it to “Generic Zigbee Dimmer” and “Generic Zigbee Switch” and received the same results. When I changed the device type each time, I pressed “configure”.

I called Centralite support, and they confirmed that the bulb is within specs for the controller.

I appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks!

Sounds like the same issues I had with Centralite dimmers and LED bulbs. The "loop" current of the device makes the bulb glow. There isn't much you can do other than find older LED bulbs that have the circuit for pull down. I know some of the older Philips bulbs had them but the newer ones don't and glow.

I had a similar issue with a LED bulb. I ended up putting a power strip between the Smart module and lamp cord. This power strip happened to have a LED lit switch too. Not sure if it was the lit switch or the power strip itself, but the bleed of power was absorbed by one of the two and the LED bulb did not have any glow.

Thank you! I tried some different LED bulbs and found one that works. The bulb that was staying on and dim wasn’t dimmable, but the one that replaced it is. Thanks again for your help.
