Cautionary note about Sengled bulbs and maybe about the C-8

This is an FYI

About 18 months ago I bought a dozen Sengled white bulbs and thdn about 6 months ago I acquire 4 color ones. Starting about tjat time the white ones started failing at about 1 month intervals. Yesterday the fifth failed.

I replaced the last 2 white faikures with color ones.yesterday,i replace the most recent white failure with a color bulb then today a sixth white one failed.

Having 2 color bulbs "in stock", I tried to pair them so I could replace #6, but neither of them will initialize. I have reset them multiple times and tried all the different pairing methods.

These bulbs have had a good reputation in the past but I think the company is having problems. They have closed off their support phone line and have not responded to my emails.

You might want to consider alternative brands when buying new bulbs. I'm going to try the hue zigbee bulbs to see if they work better.

Hopefully these problems are not caused by the new C-8 that I just installed but, I must say, I never have had this many peoblems insuch a short span of time as sincd I migrated to the C-8.

The C8 isn't breaking these bulbs, that's for sure.

I've been hearing similar tales from others about sengled failing. It's too bad their CS has gone down the toilet. I don't have many bulbs because I prefer switches but for the odd table lamp I use LIFX. Superior color and quality. My end tables consistently are at 2300k and look great but the color matching is awesome and direct hubitat local integration.

Certainly not, but the trouble initializing might be? Hard to tell
