Is anyone here using Hubitat to control casambi devices? The ones I have use BLE (which hubitat doesn't have) but they also have a cloud API so I'm hoping someone has already done the heavy lifting to make this work.
There don’t seem to be any prior threads that show up when searching for that keyword. Doesn’t mean no one has worked on it around here, but it does make it less likely.
What kind of devices are they? Given Hubitat’s focus on local home automation, cloud-based integrations aren’t always super popular among users.
I would check out MQTT there appears to be some stuff with that. You could then interface it with HE.
Looking at possible ancillary servers you might be able to use HomeBridge or possibly Node-RED (or a combination like I did for the Ring devices - no Apple required).
or this maybe:
The devices are Casambi Line PWM Controller . I'm using them to control some RGBW LED tape because I couldn't find anything at all that could handle the job and worked with Hubitat. (We're talking about 90-100W 4-color. It sits between the power supply and the tape, controlling level and color mix).
I would much prefer local control over cloud control. I'm kind of grasping at straws right now, sadly.
The controllers weren't so expensive that I'd be heartbroken to replace them provided I could find something that would work with Z-Wave or Zigbee.

Looks like some nice hardware. It’s frustrating when local integration options for higher spec devices are limited by a manufacturer.
