Hmmm... I assumed a senior role 5 months ago.... But I already do plenty of yard maintenance.... Hmmm.... Maybe I need to reconsider my career choice...

We had a senior manager who would constantly come to our dev team with "emergencies" that were partly operator errors, partly mis-reporting of the actual issue, and maybe once over a couple of years an actual important bug. Should have gotten him a t-shirt with "The X-Factor" on it...

We had too many dev teams breaking ci/cd pipelines. We finally automated the "dunce" message on their teams SharePoint site. If two builds in a row failed they got their splash page changed to "dunce" 3 successful builds in a row and that splash page was removed.

LOL...love that. Proper reward for poor performance, and I'm thinking very motivating to get rid of that dunce cap.
