As much as most will laugh at this, I keep thinking what gives the right to people to go out and damage/destroy private property?

Yeah, that's not right, regardless.

Although I have to admit I did chuckle at the post. I sent it to one of my cousins who owns three Teslas, and he also thought it was funny, but is also worried that he'll bear the brunt of someone's anger...

Whatever your political belief or principle, don't destroy. Discuss, try understanding other's perspective, reason, dialog with integrity, but don't act with violence.

Why their FEELINGS of course. Control of which is not a virtue these days. Sad too because feelings are a terrible master.

I'll admit I was a bit confused by this and other responses, for a couple of reasons.

Firstly, and less importantly, I took it to be just a funny meme. Granted that doesn't absolve it of all potential crimes, but that still meant it wasn't necessarily a call to arms to start either modifying your own Tesla's or other peoples...

Secondly, I did not take it as some kind of indication that people should be taking it upon themselves to apply this (comedic) modification to other peoples vehicles.

This all sounds much more overblown and complicated than I would normally like to post here.... but ultimately I was a bit confused by something that was just meant to be a funny meme about a brand that had gone sour because the main figurehead had also gone sour... I certainly don't want to p!$$ anyone off, but am a bit unclear of the context on this one...

Not to say it's just for you @ronv42 to explain...

The issue is as a culture what is going on here? I posted my same thoughts on another forum where the same image was put up with 100s of likes and comments. The "you support Naz*'s." or "You need to be taken out like Musk". And these were the "gentile" responses to my post. The vilest one's I contacted the forum owner and dead silence.

This will be my last comment on this topic.

Wow.... I took it to be a comedic slight on Musk and the Tesla brand, but I am clearly not in the loop enough on the issues involved... So will happily bow out of what appears to be a subject people feel so deeply about and is quite clearly something not worthy of comedy, at least from inexperienced comedians like me. Nor will I expect a response from you or anyone else...

It's tempting to offer a supporting comment in support of those persecuted, but I feel I would screw that up, so will leave it at that, I blanket comment of support.

I don't think anyone can be offended by that... can they....?

I suspect priests etc will, they appear to prefer them much, much younger

You try to appeal to a wider audience and.... suddenly you don't... :frowning: Or it can be taken the wrong way...

No, I wasn't suggesting that was supported today... More that is wasn't something women would support into the future... As much as it was the norm years ago....

I could have pivoted to Pineapple on Pizza or Catchup on Pasta, but yet the geek in me fell back to the tried-and-true Star Trek meme. In TOS series and TNG 1st season the uniforms were very short for the poor actors, they had to constantly be pulling them down to cover their privates.

For my pizza friends:

The terrorism (or whatever you want to call it) is vile and shouldn't be happening, or tolerated, but the meme was extremely funny. And funny memes are what this thread is all about.

Oh man I know people that do the 'lawful evil' monitor setup, for me it's either 'neutral good' or 'lawful neutral'.

Same. I know someone that is close to chaotic evil. Just screens mounted all over the place.

And don't forget your fruit category, which is easily remedied by putting pineapple on it.
