This morning, the voice assistant announced the weather for the day, the shades on the skylights closed automatically, and the robot vacuum started running at 10 (when the house is normally empty). That was when I realized I've recreated the house from Ray Bradbury's chilling story There Will Come Soft Rains.
When I looked up the short story, I realized it is set only 2 years from now (published 1950).
