This one hits a nerve from someone from the days of fantastic graphic novels in this era. No one cares (but me maybe) but prior to selling the TMNT enterprise to Mirage Studios... and 'kowabunga, dude!' TMNT (from 'Eastman and Laird) was a (I know, it sounds weak), a semi serious (as with all GN, some suspension of disbelief required) graphic novel/comic series.) with decent writing and better than average graphics.
