Capture device values

I have two devices which save and report cumulative energy consumption in kwh; A Qubino flush 2 relay and an Aotec Smart Switch. I’d like to simply capture and automatically save the values and dates at perhaps daily intervals. A text file would be fine. I don’t want to map or display it just capture to a data file I can periodically read. Can anyone point me in the direction of how to achieve this?

This can be done in Rule Machine, written to a file on the hub which can then be accessed locally. Here is an instance of a rule that I had created for this:

The file manager under settings can then be used to get the file’s URL, or to open it directly.

Having just done it, I am amazed at how easy it was to do exactly what I needed.
